How to do Vinyasa Yoga

The word 'Vinyasa' can be translated as 'arranging something in a special way,' like yoga poses for example. The term vinyasa refers to the alignment of movement and breath, which turns static asanas (poses) into a dynamic flow. Vinyasa is also the term used to describe a specific sequence of poses (Chaturanga to Upward-Facing Dog to Downward-Facing Dog) commonly used throughout a vinyasa class. This style of yoga is often quite dynamic, which requires the mind to stay focused in the present to be able to keep up. Focusing keeps you from drifting off and helps you to be present in your body rather than stuck in your head.
