Kadai Chicken


Chicken - 1 kg

Oil - 1 1/2 Tbsp

Onions - 3 nos (finely chopped)

Green Chillis - 2 no (sliced)

Ginger Garlic Paste

Tomatoes - 3 nos (finely chopped)

Turmeric powder - 3/4 tsp


For Masala Powder

Coriander Seeds - 2 Tbsp

Cumin Seeds - 1 1/2 tsp

Pepper Corns - 1/2 tsp

Red Chillis - 6 nos


Making the Kadai Chicken Masala:

1. Dry roast coriander seeds, cumin seeds, pepper corns & red chillis till you smell the spicy aroma.

2. Grind the roasted ingredients to fine powder. Your masala powder is ready

Making Kadai chicken:

3. In a wide sauce pan, heat oil. Add onions, green chillis and saute till the onion turns golden brown

4. Now add the ginger paste & tomatoes. Saute for a minute

5. Add turmeric powder, salt & the dry masala powder. Mix well

6. Add the chicken pieces and coat them well with the masala.

7. Season with little salt and add water till it covers the pieces

8. Close and cook till its done.

9. Add capsicum pieces and cook for 2 more minutes

The kadai chicken is ready to serve.
